District Coordination Officer Peshawar has under section 144 Cr.PC ordered and prohibited that no person will carry any sort of arms & ammunitions or any other articles which is capable of being used for physical violence or carrying of any explosive substance or any other instruments which is danger to human life and public property. No vehicle with tinted glasses shall enter and drive in the territorial limits of Peshawar District for the sake of security. Any one found violating this order shall be liable to be proceeded against under section 188 PPC. This order shall come into force forthwith and shall remain enforce for 30 days unless modified or withdrawn.

According to a special report of DCO Peshawar on 20th January 2010 at about 1:00 PM as a result of a planted blast under a culvert on branch road leading towards the residence of Aurang Zeb Khan MPA at Ring road (Dalazak Colony) five persons including Aurang Zeb Khan MPA (ANP) sustained injuries who have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. On receipt of the information, the DCO reached the spot, the car of MPA has badly been damaged and power supply main HT Line has also got damaged. Later on, he said that he visited to LRH to inquire about the health of the injured and see the arrangements. He also met Aurang Zeb Khan MPA in Operation Theatre. As per doctor’s report, MPA and other injured persons are out of danger however, MPA will go through a minor operation of left arm.

NWFP Minister for Zakat, Haji Zarshed Khan Advocate has urged upon the concerned authorities of Zakat Department to accelerate their efforts for transparent distribution of Zakat money and keep a close eye over it, so as it could be reached in the hands of deserved one.
He was speaking to the District Zakat Officers in a meeting convened to appraise himself of the distribution of zakat across the province. Zakat Officers from Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur and Batagram districts attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed matters relating to distribution of zakat funds allocated during the current financial year (2009-10) and arrangements made in this regard.
The District Zakat Officer Mansehra presented viable suggestions and recommendations for further improvement in zakat system in the province with which the meeting agreed.

The meeting, on this occasion also reviewed arrangements for distribution of zakat amounts to the deserved students of Universities, Colleges, Schools and Seminaries in the province and asked for on-the-spot inspection of the matter so that no one could be deprived from their right.
